Energy & Vader Points

Energy and Vader Points (VP) form the foundation of the EgoPlay economy - governing how users participate in tasks and are rewarded for their contributions.

Energy ⚡️

Energy determines how many actions a user can perform in a given day. Every task, whether it’s submitting a video or labeling through annotation, consumes Energy.

  • Daily Allocation: Each user starts with 3 Energy per day, which resets at 00:00 UTC.

  • First Video Task: The first daily task, assigned randomly by EgoPlay, consumes 1 Energy.

  • Subsequent Video Tasks: Each additional task selected by the user consumes 2 Energy.

  • Video Task Cap: Users can complete a maximum of 5 video tasks per day, regardless of how much Energy they hold.

  • Annotation Tasks: Each annotation task consumes 1 Energy, and users can complete an unlimited number of them per day, as long as they have sufficient Energy available.

Unused daily Energy does not carry over to the next day.

Users can extend their activity capacity by acquiring Energy Packs, which can be:

  • Earned from Chests, or

  • Purchased directly from the Shop using $VADER.

Purchased Energy is non-tradeable, expires after a fixed period, and all tokens used for purchases are permanently burnt, introducing a continuous deflationary mechanism into the Vader token economy.

Energy thus serves as both a participation limiter and a value sink, ensuring balanced task output while maintaining the long-term sustainability of the ecosystem.

Vader Points ♦️

Vader Points (VP) are the core in-game reward currency of EgoPlay - a performance-based metric that measures contribution quality, consistency, and task success.

  • Per Successful Video Task: 300 VP

  • Per Successful Annotation Task: 60 VP

Vader Points are awarded after Orn verifies and approves each submission for authenticity, quality, and completion.

VP serves multiple key functions within the ecosystem:

  • Acts as the primary reward currency for all task activity.

  • Opens Chests, which contain Energy Packs, Boosters, and Vader Tickets.

Vader Points are off-chain, non-transferable, and tied exclusively to in-app progression, ensuring the ecosystem rewards performance, not speculation.

Ecosystem Feedback Loop

  1. Users consume Energy to complete tasks.

  2. Successful submissions earn Vader Points (VP).

  3. VP unlocks Chests, which contain Tickets, Energy Packs and Boosters.

  4. Energy Packs acquire from the Store restore capacity for new tasks, while all $VADER used for purchases is burnt, reinforcing deflationary tokenomics.

This closed, merit-based system ensures that the most active and skilled contributors advance faster, while maintaining a sustainable, value-aligned reward economy for the long term.
