Becoming a Validator
To operate an ORN-Lite Node, participants must meet specific eligibility requirements that ensure reliability, economic alignment, and long-term commitment to the network’s decentralized infrastructure.
Eligibility Criteria
Token Requirement:
Validators must allocate a minimum of 2,000,000 $VADER tokens to activate a single Lite Node. This allocation is locked on-chain for the duration of the node’s operation and serves as the validator’s operational commitment to the network. If the validator chooses to deactivate their node, the allocated tokens enter a 14-day cooldown period before becoming available for trading again.
Verification:
The validator’s wallet must pass ownership verification through the on-chain validator registration contract. During this process, the system validates token allocation, wallet integrity, and prior participation data to confirm eligibility for activation. Once verified, validators gain access to the Lite Node dashboard, where node operations can be managed securely.
Activation Process:
After allocation and verification, the validator activates their node by signing and broadcasting an on-chain transaction using the “Sign & Start” function. This transaction authorizes ORN to operate through the validator’s node and registers it within the network’s continuous runtime layer.
Reward Mechanism
Validators earn rewards from a dynamic reward pool, which continuously distributes earnings based on participation, uptime accuracy, and contribution ratio.
The reward pool is consisted of $VADER tokens.
Rewards are distributed proportionally to each validator’s active allocation within ORN, meaning that a larger yields a higher share of the total reward pool.
Rewards are not distributed automatically; validators must manually claim their accumulated rewards through the dashboard once the predetemined reward cycle concludes.
Additional information will be provided about the reward cycle, reward duration and reward amount. Eligibility requirements, reward structures, and token thresholds may be updated over time to ensure fairness, security, and sustainable network growth.
